Services for Virgil Willingham, 90, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with John Givens, pastor of Community Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002. He was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Monroe County, Mo. He married Alice M. Duvall on Sept. 20, 1935, in Madison, Mo. She died Oct. 2, 2001.

He had farmed in Missouri before moving to Lubbock to work for South Plains Wholesale Variety. He had lived in Lubbock since 1949 and was a charter member of Community Christian Church, where he also had served on the board.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Rowe of Lubbock; two brothers, James of Madison and Charles of Centralia, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Coureton of Madison; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
