Shilo Abel Passes
Shilo Abel, 60, passed away Sunday morning at a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 20 o'clock from the Holland and Bonine funeral home with Rev. John Morange officiating. Burial will be made in Highland cemetery.
Shilo Abel was born April 20, 1878, at Lewistown, Ill., the son of Thomas Spencer and Matilda (Swise) Abel. He lived at Canton, Ill., and that vicinity until about 1900 when he moved to Fulton county, Ill., where he met and married Miss Mabel F. Smith in 1903. To them were born children: Lola, Matilda, Thomas, Marian, Royce, Arthur, Delia, Bertha, James, Shilo, Jr.
