Jeanette married Edward Stanley Johnson on February 17, 1934 in Menominee, MI. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1992.
The couple lived in Marinette County, Town of Lake and then moved to Milwaukee, where they lived for a short time before returning to Marinette County, Town of Lake. Jeanette enjoyed life to the fullest and lived for her family.
She enjoyed various activities like, working in her vegetable and flower gardens, canning, cooking, traveling the United States, especially out West, camping with the family, visiting family and friends, and babysitting her grand, great and great-great-grandchildren She also owned and worked at Millie and Jen's Tavern, plus cooked and tended bar at The Blue Ribbon Casino.
Jeanette is survived by a son Douglas Johnson (Janet) of Bowler, Wis.; three daughters: Geraldine Trepanier (Frank Trepanier) of Pulaski, WI; Donna Vista and Janet Klaver, both of Porterfield, WI; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, an infant son, Baby Johnson; a son, Edward D. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Betty A. Johnson; son-in-law, Gerald Klaver; two sisters: Marie Miller and Henrietta Long; a brother Otis Long and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral home Peshtigo, WI from 2 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. with Pastor David Zahn officiating.
