Funeral services for Antonio Fertitta, 66, resident of this city for 42 years, who died at his home, 1507 Laurel avenue at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 3 p.m. Sunday. Interment, under the direction of Broussard's mortuary, was in Magnolia cemetery. A native of Italy, Mr. Fertitta in company with his nephew, Sam Fertitta, came to the United States 44 years ago. They landed in New Orleans where they remained for two years at which time they came to Beaumont to reside. Throughout the entire 42 years of his residence here Mr. Fertitta was engaged in the grocery business. His first store was located at Calder and First street, and was one of the leading groceries here. on Mariposa and Laurel. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rosalie Fertitta; six sons, Sam, Henry, Charles, Vincent and Anthony Fertitta, Jr., all of Beaumont, and Thomas Fertitta of Galveston; five daughters, Mrs. Andrew Marsiglia, Mr.s Joe Faraci, Mrs. Carlo Lisatta, Mrs. Jake Magliolo and Mrs. Joe Giardina; two brothers, Charles P. and Joe Fertitta of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Gigilio and Mrs. Sam Serio of Beaumont, and 14 grandchildren.
