Came to America 1839. He studied and practice medicine in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Beebe served in the Mexican War (soldier) and in the Civil War (Warrant Surgeon). At the close of the Civil War, he gave up the practice of medicine and became a minister. He served congregations at the Isles of Shoals, Chichester, Littleton, Lisbon and Bethlehem, NH.

He was married twice and had eight children.
