John Lee Persinger, 92, formerly of 209 W. 7th St., Connersville, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2004, at Heritage House Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, where he has been a resident since December 2003.

He was born on April 8, 1912, in Bracken County, Kentucky, the son of the late Silas and Ora Harget Persinger. He had worked at Roots-Blower Company for 30 years retiring in 1974.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Roy McLaughlin of College Corner, Ohio, and Doris and Joe Bird of West College Corner; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Emery and Anita Persinger of College Comer, Ohio, Richard and Bev Persinger of Roseburg, Ind., George and Bonnie Persinger of Oxford, Ohio, and Greg Persinger of West College Corner; one brother, Russell Persinger, Kentucky; three sisters, Jessie Teeguarden of Falmouth, Ky., Christine Teeguarden of Milford, Ky., and Edith Thomas of Cynthiana, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, two daughters, Dorothy and Josephine Persinger; two sisters, Bessie Hull and Elizabeth Brooks; a half sister, Vicey Harget and a half brother, Billy Persinger, preceded him in death.
