Thomas was the third child of five children born to William Blenkarn and Betty Goodrick. His baptism record is in the Terrington Church Register. Thomas went to London along with his three brothers, William, George, and Robert. He married Caroline Daw on 4 April 1827. There were no children born to the union of this marriage. He was 57 years old when he died of valvular disease of the heart and diseased liver three or four years; Hydrothorax one year, a W. H. Watkins was present at the death. The death certificate was located in the District of Strand in the Subdistrict of St. Clement Danes in the county of Middlesex #250.

Will of Thomas Blenkarn:

"IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I THOMAS BLENKARN, of No 29 Bell Yard Liberty Rolls in the County of Middlesex a law bookseller being of sound mind and memory do hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say: I give and bequeath to my affectionate wife Caroline her executors, administrators and assigns all and the entire of my preperty of any kind, whatsoever, I now possess of any hereinafter be in possession of at the time of my death for her sole use And only to the payment of any just debts as may be owing at the period of my death and I appoint my said wife EXECUTRIX of this my will. Whereof, I have hereunto, set my hand and seal this twenty-ninth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five - THO; BLENKARN---Signed sealed before and by the said Thomas Blenkarn as his last Will and Testament in the presence of each other - FRANCES DAVID BIRCH, 65 Fisher Lane, Holborne -- GEORGE SIGHTING, FELLER JANE, Holborne IN THE PECULIAR COURT OF CANTERBURY IN THE GOODS OF THOMAS BLENKARN DECEASED,"
