Shaima died after she was beaten over her head repeatedly with a tire iron on March 21, 2012 and was taken off life support around 3 p.m. on March 24. A note was left near her that stated "go back to your country, you terrorist." She was found by her 17 year old daughter. Shaima was married and they had five children.
