William Rush (Bill) Staggs was the son of William & Lucinda (Garner) Staggs. He was born in Jefferson Co., Alabama. And, first married Cynthia Rebecca Wilburn abt. 1885 in Pickens Co., Alabama. Cynthia Rebecca Wilburn was born 1854 in Alabama, the daughter of James A. J. & Catherine (Hisaw) Wilburn. Her parent's were buried at the Wilburn Family Cemetery, in Tuscaloosa Co., Elrod, Alabama. Bill & Cynthia had four known children; Alma Pearl Terry, Edna Effie Brimer, Dollie Criddle, and James Rush Staggs. Bill Staggs married Ida Butler 1900, in West Point, Clay Co., Miss.! Ida Butler Staggs was born Feb. 1870, she and Bill had five children; Beulah Stafford, Nannie Lee Stafford, Maggie Sanders, Haney F. Staggs, and William Rush (Bill) Staggs Jr.! Bill and Cynthia's oldest child was Alma Pearl (Staggs) Terry. She was born June 7, 1884 in Gordo, Pickens Co., Alabama. And died Mar. 1, 1920 at Montpelier, Clay Co., Miss. She married James Alvin Terry, and they had nine children. Alma Pearl was buried at Old Montpelier Cemetery, near Montpelier, Clay Co., Mississippi. She was buried with her infant son ; Little William Terry/
