John Buswell was born in Boxford, MA, September 4, 1748, the son of John Buswell. John came to Rindge, NH around 1768 and bought the farm, formerly of Aaron Esty. He married May 30, 1771, Rebekah Demary, the daughter of John and Rebekah (Corneille) Demary. John and Rebekah were successful farmers in Rindge and had fifteen children. In the Revolution John was a member of Capt. Nathan Hales Co. of Minutemen in 1775, he was a signatory of the "Association Test" in Rindge in 1776, and in Col. Nichol's Regiment in 1780. He died February 6, 1828, aged 80 years.
