Orval "Russell" Baugh, 84, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday March 24, 2012 at University Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by his loving family. Russell was born September 7, 1927 in Unionville and was the son of Homer Abner and Idella (Leach) Baugh. After high school Russell joined the United States Navy and served his country in World War II. After the war Russell returned to Bloomington and worked for Public Service, Coca Cola as a delivery driver and was a salesman for Kentucky Central Insurance Company. He retired from Indiana University where he worked as a Cyclotron Technician. Russell was a member of the Genesis Church and the American Legion Post #18.

Russell is survived by his wife of 60 years Norma (Bowlen) Baugh of Bloomington, his daughter and son-in-law Debra and Steve Anderson of Lakeland, TN and his son and daughter-in-law Sam and Becky Baugh of Bloomington. Also surviving are his grandchildren Gabriel Davis (Jenn), Angela Butcher (Danny), Joy Baltz (Teddy), and Clint Baugh, great grandchildren Cody Butcher, Isabella Baltz ,Evelyn Baltz, and Hayden Hicks, and three sisters; Mary McGlothlin, Margaret Perry and Judy Frye all of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Steven R. Baugh, one sister Virginia Miller, and two brothers, Joe Baugh and Wendell Baugh.

Services will be 1:00pm Tuesday March 27,2 012 at Genesis Church, 801 E. State Road 45/46 bypass, Bloomington with Rev. David Woodcock and Rev. Al Pagliarro officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery where the Veterans Honor Guard will have Military Rites. Visitation will be on Monday March 26, 2012 from 4-8pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and again on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until service time at Genesis Church.
