Alias "Francois Severi"

Studied law and worked to become a prefect of police (which he was posthumously made). Served with the military on observation planes in 1940 and was wounded. Following the fall of France, he sailed to England on a Polish cruiser and joined the Free French Forces. He participated in many missions and was arrested in 1940 and released. Returned to London and then was sent back to France. In 1943 he was arrested by the OVRA, and after many hours of torture, was returned to his cell where he cut his throat with a wire. Three hours later, he was dead, a note clipped to his clothes, written in his own blood, that said "Vive de Gaulle! Vive le France!". Right before he ended his life, a fellow resistance worker in the neighboring cell heard his muffled message "Tell Mama, my sisters, it is not very hard to die, and I die happy."

Awards:
Knight of the Legion of Honor
Companion of the Liberation
War Cross
Distinguished Service Order (Great Britian)
