"Mrs. Chas. W. Hall Dies at Age 82
Mrs. Caroline Hall, 82, of Clayton, died Oct 2. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct 5, at 2 pm. from the Matthews Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Baynard, pastor of Ewell's-St Paul Methodist Church, Clayton, in charge. Interment was at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo F. and Mollie E. McCracken of Columbia, Pa. and is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Kauffman of Columbia. Mrs. Hall was the widow of the late Charles W. Hall of Clayton. She was a member of Ewell's-St. Paul Methodist Church, Clayton."
Note: The obit says she was 82, but the DOB/DOD dates given indicate she was 88. Her father's Civil War papers (XC-2564-118) state her birth date was Aug 30, 1872, making her 88 years old. This also agrees with the 1900 Lancaster County, PA Census.
