Adeline was the daughter of Sandy Duke and Susan Cates of Orange County, North Carolina. She was the 2nd or 3rd wife of Perin Wright. She is buried in the Wright-Brewer lot with some of her children and grandchildren. The date on her tombstone that is photographed here lists her birth year as 1846. Further research led me to the date I have listed here. This is supported by her age on census records that indicate she was born around 1840 or 1841.
