BRADENTON, FLA. - JOHN CALVIN BEDINGER, 71, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died May 1 in Bradenton after a short illness. He was retired from Union Carbide's South Charleston plant after 37 years of service. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church, having served at Bream Memorial in Charleston and Hope Presbyterian Church in Bradenton. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Surviving: wife, Edna Bedinger, of Bradenton; sons, Dr. G. Michael Bedinger of Gainesville, Fla., John P. Bedinger, of Reston, Va., Samuel D. Bedinger, of Menlo Park, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Nancy Alford, of Herndon, Va.; six sisters; and four grandchildren. Services were held May 4 in Hope Presbyterian Church, Bradenton, Fla.
