Born in Akron, he was the son of the late David Beck Sr. and Pearl Trout Beck. He was the husband of Audrey A. Bentley Beck for 53 years.
He was employed by Sperry New Holland for thirty years as a production planner. He retired in 1987.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a former Scout Leader of the St. Anthony Cub Scouts.
He enjoyed sports and reading. During WWII he served in the US Navy.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Michael W. Beck, of Lansdowne; daughters, Pamela L. Beck, of Lancaster and Cathy J., married to Edward Bachman, of New Providence; grandchildren, Derek, Scott, and Kaitlyn Bachman; brother, Ronald Beck, married to Emma Pickel Beck of Ephrata. Three brothers, Elmer, David Jr., and Leonard Beck; sisters, Lorraine Coffroad and Dorothy Balmer preceded him in death.
The memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA on Monday at 11 AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
