Alfred Joho immigrated to the US from Alsace-Lorraine, Germany, in 1906 with his wife, Marie Liehr Joho, and their four children, Anna Marie, Josephine, Eugene & Henry, and his mother-in-law, Francesca Liehr. They lived in Paterson, NJ, eventually moving to Elizabeth, NJ to work at the Singer Sewing Machine Factory.
