Hazel E. Anderson

Hazel Embry Anderson, 77, 219 S. Seventeenth Street, died Sunday at 3:45 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.


Mrs. Anderson was a retired school teacher for the Mayfield School System, a member of the First United Methodist Church and was very active In community volunteer work.


Survivors include two sons, Tom Anderson, Mayfield and Charles E. Anderson, St. Paul, Minn.; three brothers, William O. Embry Jr. and Ben T. Embry, both of Henderson, Ky. and Lawrence Embry, Brookings, S.D.; a sister, Belle Stewart, Mt. Vernon, Ill.; and four grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anderson, her father, William O. Embry; and a brother, Harold Embry.


Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. Cecil Kirk officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be George Covington Jr., Barkley Jones, Don Sparks, Bob Sims, Royse Wilson and Hal Wright.


Visitation will be today (Monday) from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.


Expressions of sympathy is requested to go to the Elevator Fund at the First United Methodist Church of Mayfield.
