Miss Grady Lewis, 75, passed away at noon Thursday, February 22, 1968, in Greenville Medical Hospital. She had been a resident of Gilbert Nursing Home in Leonard for a year before entering the hospital on February 11th.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM on Friday, February 23, 1968, at First Methodist Church in Celeste. The pastor, the Rev. Earnest Walt, and the Rev. Homer Caldwell, pastor of First Methodist Church, Leonard, officiated. Interment was in Lane Cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home of Leonard directing.

Casketbearers were Earnest Berry, Laute Nichols, Marion Pierce, Albert Granberry, and Jacque Bickham.

Miss Lewis was born on November 17, 1892, at Fairmont, Georgia, the daughter of Earl D. and Ollie Collins Lewis. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Celeste.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Braddy of Leonard and Mrs. Charles Luna of Dallas; three brothers, Roy Lewis of Leonard, Emmett Lewis of Dallas, and Henry Lewis of Friona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
