The original Brooks graveyard was located on U.S. 60 West, opposite the site of Strode's Station. The graveyard adjoined the Strode's Station Cemetery and was destroyed in 1965, during the construction of a by-pass around Winchester joining U.S. 227. The remains from the Brooks burial ground were removed to the Winchester Cemetery, Clark Co., Kentucky. Abijah Brooks was one of those moved. Information contributed by stonefinder.
