Pauline Alvey Haynes, 96, of Elizabethtown, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert D. (Bob) Haynes Sr.; one son, Robert Jr. (Bobby) Haynes; her parents, William Riley and Corda Burba Alvey; one sister, Doris Alvey Hinton; three brothers, Loy Alvey, J.T. Alvey, and Everett Alvey; and one grandson, Capt. Daniel Haynes Utley.
She was an employee of Beam’s Distillery for 20 years. She was a grocery store owner, a farmer’s wife and the mother of five children. She was also a member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Haynes, Linda (Charles) Utley, and Brenda (Lee) Miller; one son, Tony (Norma) Haynes; one daughter-in-law, Carol Haynes; seven grandchildren, Sharon (David) Lovejoy, Molly (Jacob) Hazel, Jennifer (Brad) Anderson, Branden (Wendy) Miller, Chuck (Maria) Utley, Matt (Michelle) Utley and Katie Utley; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kylie Anderson, Jolie Anderson, Gavin Anderson, Ryan Utley, Mason Utley, Marleigh Utley, Greyson Hazle, Liam Hazle, Nathan Ruby and Abby Miller.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with David Lovejoy officiating. Private interment will be in Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at the funeral hom.e
