He was a designer for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 34 years before retiring in 1990 and received company awards for patent applications. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Daughters, Carole B. Olson of Bethlehem, Michelle S. Festa of Pittsburgh; sons, Laurence M. and Mark D., both of Scotia, N.Y.; 6 grandchildren; brother, Norman Olsen of Bethlehem. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert Olsen and Russell Olsen.
