Funeral services for Cordell White, 75, of Ozark, AL, who passed away Dec. 11, 1998, were held Dec. 13 from Ewell Bible Baptist Church, with burial in Ewell Community Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 9, 1923 in Clarkrange, TN, the son of Sherman and Florence White.

Mr. White was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II, and he was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, completing two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as a master sergeant following 21 years of service. Upon retirement, he ran Judah's Grocery in Ewell and T.C. White Saw Sharpening. He was a charter member of Ewell Bible Baptist Church, where he was an active deacon, also serving as treasurer for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Judah White of Ozark, AL; daughters, Sandra J. Woodham of Syracuse, NY, Pat Thomas, Sheryl W. Jowers and Deborah Harris, all of Ozark, and Pat McCarren Fritts of Decatur, GA; Sisters, Clella Garrett of Clarkrange, and Reba Wyatt of Crossville; brothers, Clifford White, and Dempsey White, both of Crossville, and Clyde White of Dayton, OH; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The Revs. David Lewis, G.L. Wynn, and Jerry Hall officiated. Holman Funeral Home in Ozark was in charge of the arrangements.
