Services for Herman Joseph Normand will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marksville, with Father Keith Ishmael officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #1 under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Marksville.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until shortly before service time at the funeral home.
A wake service will be Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mr. Normand, age 81, of Rexmere, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at Avoyelles Hospital, Marksville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adras and Dorothy Normand; and first wife, Rita Walker Normand.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Bordelon Normand of Rexmere; son, Michael Normand of Baton Rouge; daughters, Vivian Guttner of Baton Rouge, Dorothy Pecue of Middletown, Conn.,and Kay Normand of Buffalo, N.Y.; sisters, Adine Laborde of Moreauville, Vella Normand of Marksville and Dean Matthews of Boyce; and eight grandchildren, Bowman Guttner and spouse Ginger, Candace Guttmer, Emille Guttner, Nicole Hino and spouse David, Erika Diliberto and spouse Mario, Matthew Pecue, Annie Pecue and Todd Normand.
Pallbearers will be Bowman Guttner, Matthew Pecue, Todd Normand, David Bordelon, Ronnie Bordelon and Randal Bordelon.
