The deceased met his death by the accidental falling of a tree on him. He was clearing the ground for two choppers, who each felled a tree simultaneously, and in running to get from under one tree he came within reach of the other, which fell on his head, killing him instantly. He was a son of P.P. Alexander of this village, who on hearing of the terrible accident went for the body and arrived with it on Christmas day. Funeral services were held at Finley's chapel in the town of Liberty, on Sunday, the 26th of December. - Vernon Co. Censor.
