Joseph Lash,of Westmoreland County, Pa., died on the 28th of March, near the close of his 78th year.
He passed down to the grave through the infirmities of old age. He was confined for the greater part of his last year, to his room and his bed; he was not cut off suddenly, and without warning that his end was fast approaching. He examined closely the hope he had to rely on, in regard to his future happiness and welfare beyond the grave, and was about to express, with confidence, that he was ready to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. His funeral was largely attended. Sermon from Rev. xiv., 13.
