Danny Leon Abdon 57, of Load Kentucky went to be with the lord on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his residence. He was born April 3, 1955, in Portsmouth Ohio, a son of the late Freeman & Ida Claro Archey Abdon. He was a master logger and the owner of Abdon Lumber Co. in Load, a former member of the Load Community Center and the Load Fire Department and a Christian. Danny is survived by his wife Patty Skeens Abdon, a son, Danny L. Abdon Jr,. of Load, two daughters, Heather L. McDowell and her husband Jacob of South Shore, and Katrina D. Craig and her husband Dan of Harrodsburg, two brothers, Jerry L. Abdon of Load and Marshall E. Abdon of Lloyd, a sister, Connie S. Mabry of Columbus,three grandchildren, Levi McDowell, Kelly Craig and Leslie Craig, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends of the Load Community. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 7, 2012, at the Greenup Wesleyan Church by Brothers Donnie Smith and Paul Martin. Burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery in Load KY. Visitation will be from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, and two hours before the service Saturday at the church.
