Juanita was the daughter of Alvin Williams, and Addie Mae Dunnam, and grew up in the Marked Tree, Tyronza Arkansas area. S
he later moved to Memphis, and there she met and married A.V. "Bill" Wood, who was in the Navy assigned to NAS Millington at the time. She also lived in Jacksonville FL, and Key West, FL, before moving back to the Memphis area.
Juanita lived and worked as a bookkeeper in Memphis until her retirement in 2002. In 2007 she moved to northwest Florida and lived with her son and daughter-in-law. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Addie Mae Williams; her sisters, Hannah Drewry and Phyllis Williams, and brother Charles Williams.
