Hugh O'Donnell Sr [1820 – 1897] Chilton Times --- March 20, 1897
At his home in Washington County, on Tuesday, March 16th, Hugh O'Donnell, Sr., aged 77 years. The remains were brought to this city on Thursday and after services at St. Augustine's church were interred in the Irish Catholic cemetery. Mr. O'Donnell was a native of county Donegal, Ireland. He was born Aug. 1st, 1820. At the age of three years he came to America with his parents. He remained in Pennsylvania for eight years and then moved to Ohio where he resided until 1846 when he moved to Wisconsin and located in Washington County. He was a hard working, industrious man and highly respected by those who knew him. His sons and daughters have resided in the county for a number of years.
