Charles Cisler Sr. of Rt. 5 Manitowoc, well known town of Franklin farmer, died Saturday morning on the anniversary of his 78th birthday at the Fair Hills Convalescent Home at Rosecrans after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sauer Funeral Home in Kellnersville and at 10 o�clock at St. Augustine Catholic church at Reifs Mills. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cisler was born in the town of Kossuth in 1875 and in 1897 married the former Anna Fogeltanz who preceded him in death 13(sic) years ago. They operated a farm in the town of Kossuth for many years and then purchased a farm in the town of Franklin which he operated until his retirement 13 years ago. The farm is now operated by a son, Edwin, with whom Mr. Cisler made his home prior to entering the convalescent home.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward Frelich of Maribel; five sons, Charles Jr., Edwin and Victor of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, and Emil and Clarence of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday.
