Macy Horne Blanton, daughter of the late George T. Horne and Ester Sinclair Horne Henderson ,pasted away May 5, 1994.
She was the oldest of 4 children.Her brothers and sisters are; Clarence E. Horne , Dora Horne Ivey and Harold Dean "Big Boy" Henderson all of Union, SC.

Born in Union, Aunt Macy worked in the Spinning Room as a Spinner at Union Mill in the mid to late 40's as well as a wife to William Terell Blanton ,they never had children but helped raise every niece and nephew and all other children born in our family.

Aunt Macy was an active member of the Union Church of God, she was a teacher over the UCOG Mother's Class for many years during the 1950's and 1960's. She also visited the Salvation Army Church located on Union Mill Hill, as well as Westside Baptist church located on UMH, where other members of her family attended church.

Her neices and nephews are; Dot Ivey, Nellie Ivey Stegall,Evelyn Ivey Crocker, George Ivey, Bobby Ivey, Erlene Horne Sparks, Frances Pittman , Harold Horne and Judy Henderson Eubanks.Her great neices and nephews are; Gerald Stegall, Lisa and "Perkie" Ivey, Ricky Sparks, Shuree Sparks Burgess, Jimmy, Ronnie and Billy Spencer,Micheal Pittman, Steve and Tony Horne and Donnie Horne, along with many other g-great neices and nephews.

She loved to cook, and a wonderful "country cook at that.
Macy was an avid fund raiser for her church. She helped with Bake Sales and Suppers sold to help raise money to build another church after the original church caught fire in the 1970's. After the church was built she,along with my Grandma Horne , began sales to save for the Steeple Fund and Bus Fund.
