PARALYTIC STROKE
Causes Death of Aged Lady in
This City.
Mrs. Alcyon Bacon died yesterday morning at the home of. Mr. T. W. Morris, cor. 17th and Canton streets, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis. She was stricken last Thurday morning immediately on arising from her bed, the entire left side being affected. Mrs. Bacon was the widow of the late P. E. Bacon, a pioneer citizen who come to this county from West Virginia in the year 1818. She was born near Newstead, Dec. 13, 1820, and was therefore in her 93rd year. Mrs. Bacon had made her home with the family of Mr. Thos. W. Morris, her relative, for the past ten yeare.
She was a member of the Christian church. Her funeral services will be conducted this morning at 10 o'clock at the Ninth Street Christian Church by Rev. T. T. Roberts and the Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
