MRS. JACOB HAYKA, AGED RESIDENT, CLAIMED BY DEATH

Mrs. Rozalia Heyka, aged 80 years, widow of Jacob Heyka, died at 12:15 noon Sunday, December 24, at her home at 319 Avery Street. She had been ill the past two months. Death was due to infirmities of age.

Mrs. Heyka was born October 22, 1859 in Grudziaz, Poland. She came to the United States 53 years ago with her husband, the late Jacob Heyka, to whom she was married in Poland 60 years ago. Mr. Heyka died January 1912. Mrs. Heyka was a member of St. Mary's church and was also a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.

Surviving Mrs. Heyka are two sons, John Heyka of Alpena; Nicefor Heyka of Detroit; five daughters, Mrs. John Markowski, Mrs. Frank Panowicz, Mrs. Walter Wysocki, Alpena; Sister Mary Robert of the Felician Order at Plymouth and Mrs. Paul Walle of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Theophila Fisher of Grudziaz, Poland; 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church. Rev. Joseph Gorski of Metz, her nephew, will officiate at the services. Internment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob Heyka, aged 80 years, were held this morning at 8:30 at her home, 318 Avery Street, and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Joseph Gorski, of Metz, a nephew, officiating. Internment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alex Markowski, Robert Walle, Robert Heyka, John Panowicz and Clarence Heyka.

Mrs. Heyka died at noon Sunday, December 24 at her home following an illness of two months duration.
