Wencel J. Hynek, 65, lifelong Town of Franklin resident, died Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill two and one-half months. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, the Rev. Frank Svatek officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Hynek was born May 26, 1890, in Franklin, son of the late Mr. and Mr. John Hynek. In 1913 he married the former Mary Cisler and the couple settled on the Hynek homestead farm. He was associated with his brother, Joseph, in the operation of a threshing machine for about 35 years. In 1935 and 1936 the brothers operated a dance hall and tavern at Kellnersville. Mr. Hynek was a supervisor of the Town of Franklin for nine years and for 24 years as treasurer of Highland School.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Ottmar Brandel and Mrs. Stanley Kubichke of Manitowoc; three sons, Edwin of Manitowoc and Clarence and John on the home farm; a brother, Joseph J. of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Jacob Yanda of Rockwood; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
