Joseph J. Hynek, Sr.;, 78, formerly of the town of (text missing from obit) morning at Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient the past six weeks, following a lingering illness.
Mr. Hynek was born May 28 1888, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late John and Antonia Kopidlansky Hynek. He married Emma Remichek Aug. 20, 1907 and the couple farmed in the Town of Franklin. His wife died in 1951. He resided with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hynek, Jr., Manitowoc for the past two and a half years before entering the nursing home.
Besides his son, Joseph, survivors include a daughter Lillian, Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Staze Yanda, Grimms; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, the Rev. Robin Butler officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
