ASHTABULA - Russell A. Marrison, 73, 1811 E. 47th St., died Saturday morning January 13, 1990 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born June 4, 1916, in Ashtabula, he was a son of John and Bessie (Conway) Marrison. He was a life-long resident of Ashtabula.
Mr. Marrison was a maintenance employee of McKinnon Iron Works for 18 years and of General Tire Co. for 22 years prior to his retirement. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, bowling, attending auctions and working in his home workshop.
Survivors include his wife, Dortha (Diddle) Marrison, whom he married July 30, 1933; one daughter, LaVonne Bradshaw of North Kingsville; one brother, John of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Kara Altman, Elly Armstrong and William R Humphrey; and three great-grandchildren, Kenneth Armstrong, Stephinie Armstrong, Tara Altman.
He was preceded in death by one son, John; on daughter, Shirley Ann; two brothers, Harry and James Ross; and one sister, Mattie Allison.
Service is 8 p.m. Monday at the Jack W. Ross Funeral Home 526 Prospect Road, with Rev. James Nolte of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Racine, Ohio.
Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
