She was born on Jan. 32, 1901, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of Frank and Judith Scheibelhut Bercher. She professed her religious vows in the Congregation of St. Agnes on Aug. 15, 1920.
Sister Francesca ministered as a homemaker in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. For 17 years, she served as food service manager and cook at The Leo House, a hotel and residence operated by the Archdiocese of New York in Lower Manhattan.
Sister Francesca retired from The Leo House and returned to Fond du Lac in 1982.
Survivors include cousins, Robert and Kathleen Berger of Pottsville, Pa., and Edward E. Madigan of Oakland, Calif.; nephew-in-law and niece, Dr. and Mrs. Gil Hoffman of Bethlehem, Pa.; and the Congregation of St. Agnes, with whom she ministered.
Preceding her in death were one brother, Edgar; and three sisters, Clara, Madeline and Edith.
Services: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Franceis Home Chapel. The Rev. Edward F.Sippel will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Springs Cemetery.
Visitation: After 3 p.m. today at Nazareth Court, 375 Gillett St., where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
