Marion - Mrs. Bertha Tyler Gause, 53, wife of Robert Gause, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at her home after an illness.
Mrs. Gause was born Oct. 13, 1952 in Mullins, a daughter of Thelma Jones Tyler and the late Trody Tyler. She had worked for Russell Stover Candy Co. for 30 years and was a member of Open Door Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home, are her mother, Thelma Jones Tyler of Marion; two sons, John Franklin Gause and wife, Kimberly, of Mullins and Curtis Lee Gause of Marion; three grandchildren, Nathan Gause, Ragan Gause and Madelyn Gause; and her brothers and sisters, Frank Tyler and his wife, Agnes, of Marion, Charles Tyler of Marion, David Tyler and his wife, Cecil, of Marion, Carlyle Tyler and his wife, Ray, of Marion, Ellen Brown and her husband, Willie, of Marion, Joe Tyler and his wife, Irene, of Marion, Lucille Richardson and her husband, Billy, of Mullins, Dora Jackson and her husband, David, of Horry, Clyde Tyler and his wife, Lula Mae, of Dillon, Grady Tyler and his wife, Louise, of Marion, and Lula Jane Herring and her husband, Hal Jr., of Mullins.
Mrs. Gause was predeceased by a brother, Willie Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at Open Door Independent Baptist Church, with the Rev. Larry Couch and the Rev. Scott Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Open Door Independent Baptist Church.
