Mrs. Easterling passed away on Friday, April 20, 2001 at Scott Regional Hospital. Mrs. Easterling was a native and lifelong resident of the Polkville Community in Smith County. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Easterling was a retired school teacher having taught elementary education for 42 years at several schools including White Oak, Polkville, Morton and retired at Puckett Elementary School. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and was a member of the Mississippi Education Association.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton Easterling of Polkville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Keith Bounds, Russell Bounds, Alec Bounds, Glen Williams, Emmett Williams and David Moulder.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangement.
