Removal from Presbyterian Church on Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. This suggests an earlier burial date.
Bob Collins' Notes: Section 117, Public Lot 284. Only 10 stones appear in this small lot, which extends from the camera position to the 4 small stones at upper left center (2 of which are in the grassless area). There is no visible or legible stone for anyone named Lowery. Nevertheless, according to cemetery records, there was a Lowery burial here April 26, 1842, making it one of the earliest burials in Green-Wood. Moreover, cemetery records say that "Lowery" was a removal from a Presbyterian Church cemetery "on Second Avenue," which suggests a death date earlier than 1842. The records do not indicate whether the Presbyterian church was on the Second Avenue in Brooklyn or the Second Avenue in Manhattan.
