Mrs Ruth R Gelwicks, 66, W Baltimore St died Monday at the Washington County Hospital.
Born in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence Loudenslager Rummell.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs Phyllis Harp,Mrs Ruth Bovey and Mrs Cynthia Bennett, all of Hagerstown, Miss Mary Gelwicks, Sykesville, Miss Theresa Gelwicks, Detroit; six sons, Joseph R and Jack F of Hagerstown, Ronald L of Williamsport, John R of Troy, Pa., Harry M of York, Pa., Robert W of Tilghmanton, three sisters, Mrs Hilda Kretzer of Hagerstown, Mrs Evelyn Barnhart of Gaithersburg and Mrs Mildred Shambros of Norfolk, three brothers, John Rummell of Hagerstown, Harold & Harry of Norfolk and 23 grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev William H Freed Jr and the Rev Harold E Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9.
