Abijah Eblin is probably the son of Quaker; Samuel Eblin (b. 1755) in Chester County, Pennsylvania and died 1839 in White County, Illinois. Samuel is a proven son of John William and Mary (Warner) Eblin.

Abijah was born about 1775/1776 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Per his grandson David Eblin, his mother died when he was a toddler and he was raised by relatives in Loudoun County, Virginia.

He was married by Rev. Shaw to Sarah Morrison; 4 Jun 1799, at the Methodist Church of Allegany County, Maryland.

He came to Gallia County Ohio with the Isaac Eblin Family about 1803. When Meigs County was formed from Gallia, Abijah's family wound up in Meigs County portion while Isaac's family remained in Gallia County.

The exact date of Abijah's death is unknown, he was last known to be living when he registered to vote in Oct 1847.

He is buried to the right of his wife Sarah, only a foot stone with A.E. engraved remains to mark the grave as shown in the picture as of 2018.
