CORDENAS - On Wednesday evening, June 12, 1940, at 11:45 o'clock a.m., CECILIA SOUTHERLAND, of East End, Jefferson parish, wife of the late Victor Cordenas, mother of Mrs. William Gerrets and the late Mrs. Lawrence Wille, Mrs. Eli Williams and Jonn Cordenas, sister of Mrs. Joseph Sprunk, also survived by five grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the funeral home of Pat J. McMahon-Coburn Company, 2305 Canal street, corner North Miro, on Friday morning, June 14, 1940, at 10:30 o'clock, followed by mass at St. Francis Xavier church (Metairie) at 11 o'clock. Interment in Greenwood cemetery.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Cecilie Southerland Cordenas of East End, Jefferson parish, Friday morning in St. Francis Xavier church, Metairie Ridge, interment following in Greenwood cemetery. She was the widow of Victor Cordenas and mother of Mrs. William Gerrets. Five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Spunk, also survive her.
