Allen Mellinger

Allen Boyd Mellinger was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Auburn, a son of Shermon Thomas and Ollie Jane Boyd Melinger. He married H. Olene Lowe in 1971.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Peebles; three grandchildren, Tim (Patty) Peebles, Jodi (Ric) Grant and Traci (A.J.) Sperle; and five great-grandchildren, Cody and Delaney Grant, Nicholas Peebles and Emmagrace and Dalton Sperle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1995; a son-in-law, Gary Peebles and two brothers, William and Dean Mellinger.
