MRS. F. M. WOOD DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Veda Wood, wife of Frank M. Wood, aged 22, passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon at about 5 o'clock at her home on 15th St., this city.

Mrs. Wood had been very ill since her confinement, two weeks ago, but was regarded as entirely out of danger; so much so that her relatives had reported her as convalescent and predicted an early and complete recovery; so that the very sudden demise can only be attributed an unaccountable collapse, probably due to an unsuspected weakness of the heart.

Was Talking Brightly.

The first warning of danger came while she was conversing with her mother, Mrs. W. A. Scott, who was holding an animated conversation with her daughter, who then appeared surprisingly well. Suddenly, without warning, the invalid's eyes grew dark, she complained of dimness of vision, and the mother and nurse noticed that her tongue seemed swollen and discolored. Rapid and efficient work on the part of her attendant served to revive her temporarily, and the doctor and immediate relatives were summoned by telephone. After a slight rally, however, Mrs. Wood sank steadily, although retaining her mental faculties almost until the last, when she passed about two hours after the first warning of the decline.

Mrs. Wood was born in Mitchell, S. D., in 1890, and, at an early age, removed with the family to Denver, where the family resided for about 15 years. They came to Caldwell about four years ago; and here she was married to Frank M. Wood, April 15, 1909.

Mrs. Wood has always been prominent and popular socially and will be greatly missed by her large circle of friends.

She is survived by her husband, two children, Kenneth, aged two years and Stanley Herbert, aged two weeks; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Scott, of Dearborn St., and sisters, Mrs. Robert Symmonds of Seattle, Mrs. Richard K. Beatty, and Misses Iva and Mary Scott.
