Obituary published in The Gospel Messenger, March 14, 1908, page 174:

Brown, Bro. Isaac, died at his home near Ollie, Iowa, Feb. 25, 1908, aged 73 years, 6 months and 10 days. In 1856 he was united in marriage to Charity Harton, which union was blessed with five children, two having died in infancy. His wife died in 1864. In 1866 he was united in marriage to Susannah Wolf. This union was blessed with eight children; three died in infancy, and one daughter a few years ago. He united with the Brethren church in 1872. In 1873 he was elected to the deacon’s office, which office he filled with honor to the church. Services by Bro. Henry Butler, assisted by Bro. Anthony Sanger. Text, Rev. 2:10. Interment in the cemetery near by.
