Clair M. Raffensberger, age 95, of Manchester Township, York, died at 11:55 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Owen) Raffensberger. Born January 5, 1927, in York, a son of the late Clarence and Katie (Cunningham) Raffensberger, he was a 1945 graduate of William Penn High School and served in the US Army during World War II. He was retired from York International after 42 years of employment and, after retirement, worked at BJ's Wholesale Club in the tire department. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the 25 Year Club of York International Club, American Legion Post 791, Viking Athletic Association, and Zeredatha-White Rose Lodge No. 451 Free and Accepted Masons Mr. Raffensberger is survived by nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Robert, and Paul Raffensberger. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 20, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 South George Street, York, with his Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt, officiating. Burial will be at Greenmount Cemetery with military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
