Shirley Shainberg Abraham, 87, died Monday April 23, 2012 at her home after a lengthy battle with emphysema.
She was the daughter of the late Abe Shainberg and Bessie Thomas Shainberg.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney Abraham; her daughter, Janet A. Kloville; her son, Sam Abraham; her brother, Raymond Shainberg; her four grandchildren Shana Ziskind, Katy Abraham, Zachary Kloville and Macy Kloville and her two great-grandchildren Molly and Leo Ziskind.
She was born in Memphis and raised in Sikeston Missouri. She finished High School in Sikeston and moved back to Memphis.
As a young girl she sang and danced for various performance groups.
After attending LSU she and Sidney were married in 1948. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family will miss her dearly.
Funeral in the Sam Abraham Chapel at Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
