Birth 12/16/1895 in Niewece, Poland information came from Fold3 website on Bertha's Naturalization application. This application also showed that Bertha and Joseph entered the US at Galveston, Texas (she entered as Barbara Kuchta) and that they emmigrated from Bremminhauf Germany on June 9, 1913 on the ship SS Chemnitz. This application also showed that Bertha and Joseph were married 9/14/1915 at Paulding, Ohio and that Bertha was the mother of Martha (7/10/1917), Edward (7/26/1929), John (1/27/1920), Mary Ann (4/6/1933) and Frances Perhala (5/14/1922) all born and residing in Cleveland, Ohio except Martha who was born in Paulding Ohio but living Cleveland Ohio.
Note: According to Maryanne Zima Chegan, Bertha had a brother named Steve Kuchta living in Harrah OK. I find him on memorial 34875117. On his memorial page is posted his signed request for naturalization showing he entered the US through Galveston as Atanas Kuchta.
