Joseph Kuhn

Joseph Kuhn, who celebrated his 85th birthday anniversary at his I home. Bronson Hill Road. Livonia, on Feb. 17, died at his home last Monday morning, Feb. -28. 1955, after having lapsed into a coma the preceding day.

Mr. Kuhn was one of 14 children of the late William and Eva Werner Kuhn and was born in Wayland. In 1906 he and his wife (the former Teresa Thelges) and their family moved from Wayland to the home farm on Bronson Hill Road, and that had been the family home ever since.

Surviving are five children: Mrs. Donald Pease of North Tarrytown, N. Y.; Mrs. Herman Hetzler. Mrs. Ernest Gommell and Mrs. Bernard Schlimpf, all of Rochester: and Sylvester, who operates the farm; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers. John and Peter of Rochester, and Frank of Wayland; two sisters. -Mrs. Henry Schuster of Dansville, and Miss Katherine Kuhn of Rochester.

Funeral services were held yesterday at Brennan Funeral Home, Livonia, followed by a solemn requiem mass at St. Joseph's Church. Livonia. with the Rev. Roy Hagerty, pastor, as celebrant, the Rev. George Schmitt, of Rochester as deacon, the Rev. John Woloch as sub-deacon, and Msgr. Charles F. Shay of Rochester and the Rev. Paul Drowin of Watertown attending. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. Livonia.
